Working at Distinctive Cabinet Design is an experience you’ll never forget. As professional woodworkers, we create custom cabinetry for families and businesses across the state and we’re always learning the latest techniques to offer our customers the best product possible.

We’re always adding new millwork jobs either for general laborers or front office staff, and we have other openings as the need arises so be sure to check back often. Production Employee

Shop employees are responsible for cutting, shaping and assembling wooden articles as well as setting up and operating various machines.
Key duties and responsibilities include but aren’t limited to:

  • Preassembly and preparation of wood products to create a completed design.
  • Assembly and final production of wood materials
  • Production of countertops, doors, shelves and other job materials.

Finisher

Finishers are responsible for applying stain and spray to prepared millwork materials to create a high-grade finish and presentation.
Key duties and responsibilities include but aren’t limited to:

  • Brush, spray, or hand-rub finishing ingredients including paints, stains, lacquers, and other sealers onto a variety of millwork materials.
  • Sand and prepare millwork materials for various steps of the finishing process.
  • Accurately mix finishing ingredients to obtain desired colors.

Commercial Estimator

Commercial estimators are responsible for preparing cost estimates for project materials and construction, as well as bidding.
Key duties and responsibilities include but aren’t limited to:

  • Estimating the characteristics of materials and entire projects.
  • Communicate with persons inside and outside the organization.
  • Review material and labor requirements to develop the most cost-effective method.

Commercial Project Manager

Commercial project managers are responsible for planning, directing and coordinating all job activities while meeting quality grades on schedule.
Key duties and responsibilities include but aren’t limited to:

  • Plan, organize and direct activities to ensure they stay on schedule and deadlines are met.
  • Study job specifications to determine areas that fall within millwork scope and determine appropriate construction methods.
  • Determine material orders and keep accurate records for all projects.
